Pulled Beef Sliders

These Pulled Beef Sliders are packed with tender, smoky shredded beef slow-cooked in barbecue sauce and Dr. Pepper for incredible flavor. Piled onto soft King's Hawaiian rolls with melty pepper jack cheese, they're the perfect sliders for game day, parties, or feeding a crowd.

Equipment

  • 1 Smoker I always use my Pit Boss smoker!
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Dutch over
  • 1 Aluminum Pan

Ingredients

  • 3 lb Beef chuck roast Cut into chunks
  • Yellow mustard for binder
  • Barbecue rub your favorite
  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 4 cups Dr. Pepper
  • King’s Hawaiian slider buns pre-sliced
  • Pepper jack cheese slices

Instructions

  • Preheat smoker to 225°F.
  • Coat beef chunks lightly with mustard, then season generously with barbecue rub.
  • Place beef chunks on the top rack of the smoker and smoke for 2 hours.
  • Remove beef and transfer to a Dutch oven.
  • Pour in barbecue sauce and Dr. Pepper.
  • Cover and return to the smoker for 4 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds.
  • Shred the beef and mix with the juices.
  • In an aluminum pan, place the bottoms of the slider buns. Top with shredded beef, add slices of pepper jack cheese, and place the tops of the buns back on.
  • Return to the smoker for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve and enjoy.
